The Capacity Building Initiative brings together our principals’ commitment to the environment with our expertise in helping non-profit organizations understand their donors and grow. We help organizations identify the priorities and motivations of their supporters so non-profits can communicate more effectively and engage both donors and volunteers more closely.

We accomplish this through small group discussions, one-on-one interviews, and formal surveys conducted by telephone, online, or through the mail. Through this process, a non-profit organization will learn:

• What aspects of your work are most motivating to your supporters.
• What it is that will encourage them to upgrade their giving and to give more frequently.
• How to focus on the key priorities of donors and accomplish those goals most effectively.
• How supporters want you to communicate with them.
• Where else supporters are directing their time and money, and what they find so effective about those other non-profits.

• Why lapsed donors have dropped away.
